A CANCER survivor who is compelled to give something back is embarking on a cycling challenge to raise money for a support group close to her heart.
Madeleine Bond, 41, of Rothschild Road, Linslade, is cycling from London to Paris next Wednesday to thank Macmillan Cancer Support for its role in her recovery.
She said: “I used cycling as a way to get back to fitness and then we enlisted on this epic journey.
“I really felt compelled to give something back in hope that it will help other families going through similar situations.”
She will be joining forces with her ‘great pal’ Andy Baker, 45, of Bideford Green, Linslade, with the hope of raising £4000.
