TV Favourite Anthony Andrews leads the autumn season at the Royal & Derngate with Sandy Toksvig’s compelling drama Bully Boy. It heads a top quality season that includes drama, music, comedy, dance, family shows and more.
There’s a new production of Yasmina Reza’s award-winning play, God Of Carnage, and, for Christmas, an adaptation of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, along with an interactive event for under 7s, Humbug! Bobby Davro returns to Northampton to star in this year’s spectacular family pantomime Cinderella, joined by actress and presenter Denise Welch. Visiting productions include Kneehigh’s new take on Steptoe and Son, the spine-chilling drama The Woman In Black, war-time musical play Radio Times and the spectacular new musical Daddy Cool, featuring the disco hits of Boney M. A stellar line up of comedians includes Dara O Briain, Stewart Francis and Jason Byrne. There is music to suit all tastes from folk and rock ‘n’ roll to big band and classical, with the theatre hosting the seventh Annual Arnold Festival as part of its orchestral season.
