This weekend sees 46 Leighton Ladies unite against cancer together and take on Race For Life in Milton Keynes.
The race begins at 11am in Campbell Park where the women will run, jog or walk the 5K to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The girls are also hosting an Axe and Compass fundraising event from 12.30pm onwards on Leighton Road, Heath and Reach.
There will be a BBQ, bouncy castle, face paints, candy floss, children’s playground and a special Race for Life balloon release.
On of the Leighton Ladies, Verity Yates, said: “We are a group of ladies who really want to smash the fundraising at Race for Life.
“Some of us will run the 5K, some will jog, some will walk and some of us may go backwards.
“Some of us are hitting the pavement and training hard and some of us are canvassing the local social scene for donations.
“But we will all be doing out bit to raise money for Cancer Research UK.”
