There will be a parade through Leighton Buzzard to mark Remembrance Day.
Those who wish to be involved in the parade should meet on the High Street at 10.15am on Sunday, before making their way to Church Square at 10.40am and then beginning the walk at just before 11am. The Salvation Army Band will lead the parade, followed by four members of The Riders Branch of the Royal British Legion.
There will also be VIPs following, including MP Andrew Selous, the town mayor Alan Brandham, plus other local councillors. Organiser of the parade, Brian Cookson, said: “I am happy with how all of the organising has gone and am looking forward to the event.”
On Friday morning at 10.45am, representatives from Leighton schools will meet at Church Square for their own ceremony.
