It is safe to say that when it comes to sports, I am not the most naturally gifted athlete in the world – in fact just watching Olympic champion Usain Bolt can be exhausting writes Amanda Devlin.
So when I was asked to try out Street Snooker during a trial day at Parson’s Close Recreation Ground on Thursday, I was slightly apprehensive about digging out my dusty trainers and showing Leighton Buzzard my poor attempt at sport.
The inventor of Street Snooker, Marco Boi, 42, wanted to combine his love of football and snooker that helped to build his confidence as a shy youngster to help others do the same.
He said: “What I found was that snooker really helped me with my maths, personal goal setting and had lots of educational benefits.
