A LEIGHTON resident who performed at Westminster Abbey as a choirboy during the Queen’s 1953 coronation had royal view of Sunday’s Diamond Jubilee barge procession, after being invited to observe form one of the Queen’s VIP viewing areas.
Richard Watts, who was an organist at All Saints for 25 years and still maintains a house in Church Square, watched the Flotilla with this wife from their VIP vantage point on Chelsea Bridge. Keep an eye out in the LBO for more on this in the coming weeks.
