LEIGHTON’S ‘Blonde Assassin’ is the latest candidate to be fired from The Apprentice after her team’s gourmet food proved a recipe for disaster last night.
Katie Wright, 26, was fired when team Phoenix failed to impress Lord Sugar with their cheap meatballs and pasta.
The former Heathwood Lower School pupil found herself in the boardroom in the very first week of the show, so said it was ‘inevitable’ she would go last night.
Katie said: “I had a brilliant time and I have no regrets at all. The support has been amazing, that’s the beauty of being from a small town, people get behind you. There are people who have got in touch who I haven’t spoken to for years, contacting me on Twitter and LinkedIn and things like that, it’s fantastic.
“I’ve seen the stories in the Leighton Buzzard Observer and I really appreciate it, I would like to thank everyone for all their support.”
For the full interview with Katie about what it’s really like to be facing Lord Sugar in the boardroom and her ‘fond memories’ of Leighton, see Tuesday’s Leighton Buzzard Observer.
