Today marks the 50th year since the Great Train Robbery shocked the world as a 15-strong gang stole millions from a Royal Mail train at Bridego Railway Bridge in Ledburn, near Leighton Buzzard.
Thames Valley Police have been tweeting from 3.03am this morning; the time the Royal Mail train travelling from Glasgow to London was brought halt by the gangs.
And from 4.26am they are doing real time tweets of the original call log and will continue to tweet and post various pictures from the time throughout the day, including pictures of the items found at Leatherslade Farm.
There will also be a live web chat with the then Chief Exhibits Officer, Keith Milner, at 10.30am.
Thames Valley have also asked the men involved in the investigation to give their account of events and how they went on to solve The Great Train Robbery, which can be seen here http://youtu.be/R0kl5UkOv24
