Hatters boss John Still has been handed a transfer ‘wild card’ by Town’s board that he can play at any moment, writes Mark Wood.
With Luton’s squad for next season nearing completion, managing director Gary Sweet has revealed Still can request to sign one player at any point if it will improve the personnel.
He said: “John and I have agreed there is really a wild card John can have, a defender, midfielder or a striker.
“It’s got to be something that would be good value for money, someone a bit special or someone who is good around the training ground and gives us that extra we might not have right now.”
