Police are calling for residents to boost their security after thieves broke into two houses in Leighton.
The latest raid took place in Albany Road, Leighton in the early hours of Friday when intruders removed a patio door from its hinges and stole a laptop, digital camera and jewellery while the owner slept upstairs.
A week earlier burglars broke into a property in Leighton Road, Linslade, at 2.30am by gaining access to the rear garden and also forcing open the french doors.
A handbag and a set of vehicle keys were taken from the hallway. The owner’s vehicle was moved, but not taken.
