‘MacFest’ – MacIntyre Wingrave School’s annual celebration of all things festival including music and dance – takes place on Saturday, June 15.
The Leighton Road school’s event starts at 11am and finishes at 5pm.
‘MacFest’ celebrates local live musicians, dancers, artistes, food and drink producers and the talents – in the form of stalls selling plants, jewellery and – of the young people who have severe learning difficulties including autism.
MacIntyre Wingrave School is part of MacIntyre Charity which provides learning, support and care for more than 900 children and adults with learning disabilities, at more than 120 MacIntyre services across the UK.
‘MacFest’ has been held for the past five years and has grown in popularity each year.
Vale MP John Bercow will be attending between 11am and 12noon and is an avid supporter of the school.
He said: “I am looking forward to attending MacFest and seeing the excellent work of the school.”
