Are you unemployed and looking for work? Do you want change your career, but aren’t sure what you would like to do?
Do you need to gain experience to get into work? Do you want to make new contacts and have useful references? Then you should consider volunteering.
There are approximately 600 different volunteering opportunities across Central Bedfordshire, with everything from helping out with admin and office work to sports and outdoor activities, and everything in between. There are advice and support roles, roles working with animals, roles working with children or older people, catering roles, computing roles, education roles, practical and conservation roles, fundraising roles, marketing roles and roles for trustees and much more.
You could choose to follow your passion and try something new, or you could use your hobbies to help the local community. Volunteering can be a great way to gain experience for getting into work, as well as improve your skills and confidence.
