The end of May is a special time for the 50-plus antiques dealers based at Woburn Abbey Antiques Centre.
They have joined forces to form an association entitled the Antique & Fine Art Dealers Association (AFADA), at Woburn Abbey, which will hold various antiques events throughout the year.
Their first event to launch the association is a charity antiques auction in aid of the NSPCC.
On offer will be many fine examples of affordable antiques and fine art, such as the one pictured.
The auction is to be held on Bank Holiday Monday, May 27, starting at 1.30pm in the Bedford Room located in the North Court at Woburn Abbey. Viewing for the lots starts at 12noon until 4pm on Saturday 25 and Sunday and continues on Monday from 11am to 1pm.
John Bly, an AFADA member and renowned antiques expert of various TV programmes, will be the auctioneer on the day for the charity auction.
A spokesman for the association said: “His knowledge, wit and charm will make this auction an enjoyable experience for everyone present on the day. ”
