A Bedfordshire blues band who are currently touring the UK to promote their new single are gearing up for a special performance in the town.
The Paul Hegley Band, whose sound has been likened to that of The Black Keys. Jack White and Gary Clark Junior and is known for its edgy blues rock style and gritty sound, will perform a The Wheatsheaf in Leighton on May 31 as part of their Blood Red Curtain tour.
Paul Hegley. of Totternhoe, said: “We are set to Play Amp Rocks this year and CockerMouth Rock festival in Cumbria sharing the main stage with the likes of The Cribs, Kids in Glass Houses & Reverend and the makers. We are set to open the main stage on the Saturday.
“We love playing at The Wheatsheaf to our home crowd and it would be great to see some new faces as well as some oldies. We really want to pack the place out.”
The band will be supported by another blues/rock band, The Greasy Slicks (www.thegreasyslicks.co.uk).
