The owner of a well-known independent jewellers has opened the doors to his new shop in his hometown of Leighton Buzzard.
Queues of onlookers who were desperate to have a peek inside Harrisons Jewellers, of Bridge Street, gathered on Tuesday for the grand opening.
Former Leighton Middle and Cedars student Matthew Harrison has lived in the Leighton Buzzard area all his life has always had an ambition to open a shop in the town.
Matthew said: “We are committed to the economic and community growth of the town and have already showed our support to fellow businesses by getting involved with I Love LB.
“Our offering of globally known jewellery brands such as Pandora, Thomas Sabo and ICEwatch compliments the offering of the existing jewellers in the town to ensure Leighton Buzzard now has a complete jewellery offering meaning local people have the choice shop locally with all their needs met rather than travelling further afield. With our location in town on Bridge Street we hope will help liftthe footfall to our neighbouring businesses. We are surrounded by some great shops and we hope that working together we can make Bridge Street a real destination spot.”
