Volunteers are being asked to help make a difference to Leighton Buzzard by getting stuck into activities to make the town more attractive as Anglia in Bloom 2013 launches.
Activities will include conservation planting of wildflowers as well as creating a haven for native wildflowers, bees and butterflies, litter picking, pulling up weeds and fence mending, so don’t forget to bring along your gardening gloves and wellies.
Free refreshments will also be available as well as the chance to purchase some Leighton-Linslade in Bloom merchandise.
The launch will take place in Parson’s Close Recreation Ground on Sunday, April 14 at 10am with half a day of socialising and civic gardening.
There is also the chance to see the Anglia in Bloom Plant Stalls on May 4 and 25 at the Flypast Monument, Lake Street, as well as the Open Gardens in Linslade and Leighton Buzzard on June 23 and 30 respectively. Tickets will soon be available to pick up from various Town Centre locations.
