Team members at the Wilkinson store on High Street, Leighton Buzzard, are offering a helping hand to community groups and charities in the area who need extra support with local projects.
Whether the project benefits young people, families or the elderly, Wilkinsons is appealing to anyone who is passionate about their local community to get involved and apply for a donation.
People living within the Leighton Buzzard area will be able to apply to the store for a monetary donation, Wilkinsons’ products or team members can volunteer their time, as they are also keen to roll up their sleeves to support neighbourhood developments.
Claire Smith, store manager at Wilkinson in Leighton Buzzard, said: “The Helping Hands scheme is an initiative where funding is provided to support local projects, directly benefitting the lives of people who live and work close to the store.
“As a company, it’s great to be able to help local community groups and charities by giving something back to the area, whether it’s seeds to help a community garden bloom or paint for a local animal shelter, we are able to help.”
Application forms can be collected from the store and once completed, forms should be returned to the store’s help desk. Successful applicants will be notified within six weeks of submission.
