One of the region’s leading equestrian centres is set to welcome a special guest for its upcoming show jumping festival next month.

The Bury Farm Equestrian Club, just south of Leighton Buzzard, is getting ready to stage its Elite Show Jumping Festival from February 7-9, and Tim Stockdale – one of the UK’s leading professional riders – will be a major part of the action.

Stockdale, who competes in international competitions, will provide a masterclass to riders and guests, giving an insight into what makes him one of the world’s best show jumpers.

The festival will see two days of entertaining displays and sporting action at Bury Farm, where the new Andrew Bowens surface ensures that horses and riders have the perfect footing to compete in classes from Newcomers to Grand Prix.

The festival, in its second year, will carry a total prize fund of around £19,000, with a Grand Prix prize fund of £6,000 on offer on Saturday night.

The ‘Gala night’, to take place on Saturday, February 9, will feature a dazzling display of show jumping from some of the country’s very best riders who will be competing for the title of the ‘Moet & Chandon Masters’.

The night also includes an entertaining performance from the Medieval Knights with their ‘Elite Jousting Tournament’ and the fast and furious world of ‘Dog Agility’.
