The mother of a disabled son who is enraged by the ‘ignorance’ of people parking in specified spaces is calling for action.
Judith Day, 46, of Knaves Hill, Linslade, says she has to put up with daily abuse when out with 14-year-old Harley who has Downs Syndrome, autism, ADHD and OCD.
The mother-of-two said: “It is a nightmare. People are so ignorant when it comes to parking in disabled bays. It can be a fight everyday with people making comments and it can upset my daughter.
A spokesman for Central Beds Council , Councillor Brian Spurr, said: “There are 10 civil enforcement officers for Central Bedfordshire. They provide a seven day a week service, comprising of a day shift pattern from 7am - 7pm and an out of hours service for the rest of the time.”
