AYLESBURY Vale district is one of the top 20 places to live in the UK, according the Halifax Quality of Life survey.
Aylesbury Vale, the only Buckinghamshire district in the top 20, came in at number 15, down three places from 12 in 2010.
Cllr John Cartwright said: “We are a growing district with high aspirations for the future.
“We have generally good quality housing stock, at more affordable prices than some neighbouring districts, we’re working hard to keep the economy buoyant during these difficult economic times and we have a good mix of urban and rural settlements, surrounded by beautiful contryside.”
Addressing the slight ranking slip, he said: “Having access to a decent broadband connection is a new criterion and we do have poor connections in some rural areas.
“However, we are actively working to get these improved.”
