Woburn’s eagerly awaited new Center Parcs holiday village has appointed Wayne Matton as the its general manager.
Over the next 18 months, Wayne will be involved in the planning for the operational elements of the site as well as assisting with the recruitment of the 1,500 staff who will work at the new village. Once open, Wayne, formerly of Houghton Regis, will be responsible for the day-to-day running of Woburn Forest - Center Parcs’ fifth UK village.
Wayne has worked at Center Parcs for the past 12 years having joined as general manager at Longleat Forest in 2000 before transferring to the same position at Elveden Forest in 2005.
Said Wayne: “I am delighted to have been appointed to this role. With construction now under way, I’ll be working to ensure we have everything in place and the best team alongside me to deliver a truly memorable family short break experience to every guest when we open our doors to guests in 18 months time.”
