A Leighton Steam buff who reglarly helps out at the narrow gauge railway and played a vital part in the reglazing of All Saints church has received an MBE in HM The Queen’s New Year’s honours list.
Alfred Fisher is a past president of the steam railway, you can read more about him in next Tuesday’s LBO.
Also up for an award is Peter Latham who runs James Latham plc in Hemel Hempstead. Peter has an OBE for his services to the wood industry particularly using sustainable forestry for timber sourcing.
