A date has been set for the opening of a new third generation (3G) artificial grass pitch in Leighton Buzzard.
The launch will take place on Saturday, November 17 at 2pm at Cedars Upper School of Mentmore Road, Linslade and has been funded by the Football Foundation, the country’s largest sports charity and Central Bedfordshire Council.
The new pitch will allow Cedars Upper School to enhance the quantity and quality of school and community football in Leighton Buzzard and the surrounding areas.
The school worked in partnership with the Bedfordshire FA to secure a £236,804 grant from the Football Foundation in addition to a £150,000 grant from Central Bedfordshire Council.
