Patient Hatters keeper Dean Brill was thrilled to be back at Kenilworth Road as he made his first appearance there for over three years in Saturday’s 1-1 home draw with Nuneaton Town, writes Mark Wood.
The 26-year-old stopper departed Luton for Oldham in 2009, and has had to wait patiently for his chance since re-signing in the summer.
He was handed his second Town debut last week in the 2-1 win at Forest Green Rovers when Mark Tyler’s troublesome back problem again flared and held on to his place for Saturday’s FA Cup tie.
He said: “I enjoyed it, full stop.
“I’d like to think I’ve come back a better goalkeeper and I can only say I’m enjoying it under the new manager and with all the new boys here.”
