Have your say on housing and jobs

AYLESBURY Vale District Council are giving the public their say on housing and job issues.

Between December 1 and January 26 the new Vale of Aylesbury Plan will consult the public on how many new jobs and homes should be created in the district over the next twenty years.

The move comes after the government announced its intention to abolish the South East Plan, taking with it the requirement to build 1,060 homes a year in Aylesbury Vale.

This means it will now be down to the council to make these decisions for the district.

Three drop-in sessions will be held so residents can talk with planning officers about the content of the document. These sessions will take place at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre, January 10, 3-8pm, and The Winslow Centre, January 18, 3-8pm.

There will be further opportunity to comment later in 2012 as the plan moves forward.

The consultation documents and accompanying questionnaire can be downloaded from.aylesburyvaledc.gov.uk from December 1. Those needing a paper version should call 01296 585439.
