One dedicated MK Dons fan is two thirds of the way towards reaching his target amount of money he is raising to fund sports education for youngsters with disabilities - even though it is less than two months into the football season.
Adam Faiers, Secretary of the MK Dons Supporters Association, is aiming to raise £1000 for the MK Dons Sports and Education Trust and the Redway School by cycling more than 1000 miles to all of the team’s away fixtures this season.
Adam said: “I am incredibly grateful for the support I’ve received so far; from the hotels, my sponsors and the community. With only five fixtures down, I’ve already raised over £650 which is just fantastic. This money will really make a difference to the children of the Redway School and I hope it will raise awareness of disabled football and the MK Dons Sports and Education Trust.”
Just £20 will buy a jacket for one of the 200 players on the MK Dons’ disability teams while £50 will pay for a piece of play equipment for the Redway School.
