£7k watch stolen by armed raider

A knifeman burst into a house and forced a man to hand over a £7,000 watch by threatening his friend.

The raid took place at a property in Newton Way, Leighton Buzzard, on Saturday, August 18 between 2.50am and 3.35am after the 22-year-old male victim and companions had been out for the night in the town.

The victim, who is not from the area, was wearing a Cartier Santos 100 watch which gained a lot of attention from a number of men while he was out. When the group of friends returned to Newton Way house, the intruder – who was wearing a balaclava – broke in through an open downstairs window and threatened one of the friends with a large knife. He demanded to know where the watch was and the victim handed it over before the intruder fled.

The offender is described as a white man who was wearing a black hooded top – possibly with an Adidas logo on the front, a black balaclava, aviator sunglasses, a red scarf pulled up to his eyes, dark coloured tracksuit bottoms and trainers.
