TOWN’s summer recruitment is already reaping its rewards according to Jake Howells, writes Mike Simmonds
Manager Paul Buckle made it his brief to bring in players with promotion on their CVs during the close season and Howells thought the 2-1 win at Hyde on Friday night further showcased their title ambitions.
The 20-year-old also had to make do with a place on the bench for the match at Ewen Fields after his Wales U21s exploits on Wednesday night, but wasn’t surprised he couldn’t displace JJ O’Donnell from the starting 11.
